California State Library “Ready—Or Not” Cultural Heritage Disaster Preparedness Project

Over the past year, the "Ready – Or Not" emergency preparedness staff have performed more than 200 no-cost emergency preparedness assessments at libraries, archives, museums, tribal organizations, and historical societies. In the upcoming year, the "Ready – Or Not" project hopes to visit 15 remaining counties in California, including Sierra, Modoc, Mono, Trinity, Plumas, Del Norte, Lassen, San Benito, Tehama, Yuba, Sutter, Kings, San Luis Obispo, Merced, and Fresno counties. Help spread the word about this project! Learn more at nedcc.org/CAReady.

Funding Opportunities
A number of funding agencies make grants available for assessments, conservation treatment, digitization, audio preservation, and other preservation activities. NEDCC can help plan and carry out these grant-funded activities and can offer advice on planning proposals. Stay updated by visiting our
