We understand the need to take a break and focus on self-care. CAM’s Wellness Room is a designated spot at the conference hotel to help reduce stress, increase productivity, and boost your experience. The Wellness Room will be open Thursday and Friday from 8:00AM—4:30PM for reflection, meditation and a quiet space for conference attendees. There will also be four scheduled programs in this space, including yoga and guided writing.

Registration is not required but space will be limited and first come, first served for scheduled programming. For questions, email prior to the conference or stop by CAM’s Registration Desk during the conference.

Wellness Program 1 - Reflect: Meditation and Guided Writing Activity

Facilitator: Ariel Weintraub, Associate Director, Institutional Giving, Oakland Museum of California

Description: Take a break from your busy conference and participate in self-care with this calming activity. We will sit in silence and follow a series of guided journal-writing exercises. After this activity you will feel relaxed, ready to approach your conference with a clear mind.

Description: Chair Massages usually range from 10-30 minutes, with most people opting for 15-20 minutes of massage. The amount of time provides a nice break in the conference programs.

Wellness Program 5 - Decompress with LoDo Chair Yoga

Description: Chair Yoga is for everybody! Learn skills that can be performed at your desk anytime. This type of Yoga helps to relieve neck and shoulder tension, back pain, tension headaches, etc., and is a great pick-me-up to help rejuvenate your mind and body.
