The Volunteer and Community Science Coordinator develops and oversees the Museum's volunteer pool, and includes oversight and delivery of the Museum’s premier community science programs. This position will support the mission of the Museum and the Monarch Sanctuary through development and implementation of several targeted volunteer recruitment and training programs, coordination of volunteer scheduling, including the native plant garden, booking docent tours for the public and school groups, organization and implementation of volunteer enrichment and events, and will support the development and delivery of the Museum’s community science programs. The position is also responsible for providing administrative support as needed, including email and phone communication and database management. The role is part of the small, but dynamic Education and Outreach Team.
