The California Museum seeks an experienced Education Director to lead the development and implementation of its innovative, high-quality education programs, advancing its mission to teach people about California’s rich history, its diversity, and its unique influence on the world of ideas, innovation, art and culture. The position also has primary responsibility for programs aligned with the Unity Center, an exhibition at the California Museum that encourages visitors to take an active stance against hate and intolerance. The Education Director leads a team of staff and volunteers in delivering K-12 education and public programs, ensuring engaging programming that meets the needs of teachers, students, and the diverse communities of California.

This full-time position is eligible for up to 20% remote work. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays, dental and vision insurance, employer-subsidized health plan, and 401(k) savings plan with match. 

Starting salary: $70,000-$80,000.
