The Chumash Indian Museum in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Museum Education Specialist to manage and develop our education program, including the school field trip program, homeschool program, educational video series, public workshops, and group tours, and general visitor educational events.

The successful candidate will be a respectful advocate of Chumash culture, have strong organizational abilities, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills and experience with or willingness to learn grant writing. A bachelor’s degree in History, Anthropology, Environment Studies, Education or similar field is required. This position is classified as non-exempt and works up to 30 hours per week. Compensation starts at $22 per hour.
