Position Overview: The Vice President of Visitor Programs and Services position works at an executive level to oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of current Conservancy led interpretive programs on Alcatraz. This includes the deployment and management of in-house and contracted resources and personnel, fiscal accountability of expenses and revenue, partnership management and cross departmental collaboration. Leading one of the largest number of staff at Parks Conservancy, the Vice President spends concerted effort on supporting employee recruitment, training, performance management, safety, and wellness.

The position is also charged with the development of additional revenue generating visitor programs at other locations in the GGNRA that can be added to the Conservancy’s portfolio of regular work.  Major changes and additions to programming are established in collaboration with the NPS and in alignment under an Interpretation and Education Service Agreement.

The salary for this position is $175,000 to $190,000 per year.
