The Institutional Giving Manager is a strategic business partner and will lead the government agencies and corporate fundraising strategies and efforts as well as design and develop comprehensive plans that meet both short and long-term Museum fundraising objectives to aggressively grow new relationships.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop strategic short and long-term plan to identify, develop, implement, solicit, and cultivate institutional giving strategies for corporate donors and prospects.
- Research proposal requirements and submittal deadlines. Analyze data to produce appropriate donor cultivation and stewardship strategies for institutional funders. Enter and monitor entry of these into Altru.
- Prepare, write, and edit all major grant applications, with understanding of specific funders’ application guidelines. Prepare timely progress reports and develop a timeline for projects. Ensure that proposals are submitted on time and follow-up proactively on pending proposals.
- Partner with Communications & Marketing department to ensure strategic alignment of cross-departmental activities and timelines.
