The Head of Publications manages the planning, scheduling, content, design, editing, prepress production, printing, distribution, and promotion of catalogues and books; supervises the process for exhibition, collection, and rotation labels from planning to editing to production; edits and proofreads (or supervises the editing and proofreading of) labels, wall texts, exhibition and gallery brochures, and educational materials; and writes articles and essays as needed. The incumbent, working closely with curators, educators, and other museum staff, is responsible for ensuring high-quality materials that project the museum’s brand and desired image.
