The Contemporary Jewish Museum (The CJM) seeks an On-site Registrar
Exhibitions and Curatorial Dept

Full-time, Non-exempt, $33.50 hourly

The Registrar is responsible for the safe handling and storage of all incoming/outgoing loans, processing and maintaining all related forms/records, coordinating logistics for art transportation (regionally, nationally, and internationally), liaising with insurance providers, and advising on handling and installation procedures in regards to the safety of the loans.

The CJM is a non-collecting museum. The Registrar is responsible for the care, custody, and condition of all works of art at The CJM and those on tour under the auspices of The CJM. They will ensure The Museum's compliance with the American Alliance of Museums’ best practices and to maintain and disperse The CJM’s Facility Report as needed.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in the registration field, familiarity with art, cultural objects and institutions.
