The Exhibit Developer is responsible for managing key aspects of exhibit and experience development for new museum experiences. The developer leads or coordinates the gathering and synthesis of information regarding appropriate content, best practices, and existing work on exhibit topics. Experience design and text panels are shaped through cultural consultations with cultural communities and works to prioritize the voice and perspective of those communities throughout exhibit narratives. This position spends time meeting with consultants to learn the cultural priorities of the communities represented in the museum's exhibits.

The Exhibit Developer advocates for the visitor's perspective through each of the independent exhibits and works to shape how the exhibits fit within the visitor journey throughout the museum. The Exhibit Developer is an interdepartmentally collaborative team member, skilled writer, communicator, and storyteller. They are instrumental in evaluation, idea generation, writing exhibit big ideas, script, label writing, research, and prototyping.
