Cultural Facilities Curator

The City of Oroville is seeking an experienced Curator to serve as a management and resource person for the displays of artifacts at the Lott Home, Chinese Temple & Museum Complex, Pioneer Museum, Bolt’s Antique Tool Museum, and the Feather River Nature Center.  The curator is responsible for preparing, rotating, cleaning, and renovating displays within the cultural facilities. The Curator prepares and maintains assessment files on all artifacts. They also research all artifacts offered for donation as to their authenticity and to see that the artifacts meet the criteria for display. The curator prepares written recommendation as to whether an offered donation should be accepted or rejected. The curator is responsible for maintaining a docent program for all facilities. The curator may represent the city in organizational meetings pertaining to historical preservation.

Annual Salary: $61,116 - $85,997
