Director of Marketing & Communications

Position is responsible for overall visitor development through marketing and communications to build audiences. Responsible for planning, development and implementation of museum’s marketing strategies, communications, and PR activities. Bachelor’s degree, minimum 5 years marketing, communications and PR management experience. Experience with non-profit and for profit industries desired; museum experience beneficial. Demonstrated skills in developing comprehensive marketing plans with success in achieving goals. Ability to work in a team environment with a wide range of staff, vendors, consultants and community organizations. Ability to manage a wide range of projects simultaneously, Budget management and staff supervision experience. Familiarity with local, regional, and national community organizations/partners preferred. Knowledge of JA History and culture; sensitivity to issues of diversity and ethnicity is essential. Must exhibit good judgment while representing institution externally.
