The Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles is seeking a full-time Director of Events and Operations to oversee the day-to-day management of the soon-to-open Audrey Irmas Pavilion (https://audreyirmaspavilion.org/). This new building represents the legacy of Los Angeles’ first and oldest Jewish congregation and its gift to all future generations; a landmark building, instantly iconic, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Rem Koolhaus and Shohei Shigematsu of OMA Partners. Audrey Irmas Pavilion has the capacity to service all types and manner of events, from congregant milestone occasions to non-profit benefits, major entertainment parties, and cultural events.

The Director of Events and Operations will be responsible for all aspects of daily operations, including, but not limited to: on-site dining, food & beverage catering, event management, sales team oversight, and general compliance. This is a new position and the start date will be determined once a qualified candidate is identified. This position is accompanied by a competitive base salary, performance-based economic incentives, relocation support (if applicable), and a comprehensive benefits package.

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years in the Hospitality Industry
  • Minimum 5 years in a Director-level position with a major resort, restaurant group, hotel, or event space
  • Bachelor’s Degree in some facet of Hospitality Management is preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
