The USS Midway Museum is seeking a Director of Education. Reporting to the President and CEO and working closely with senior leadership and the Education Committee, the Director of Education is responsible for the strategic planning and decision making for the Education department, currently consisting of daytime programs, youth overnight and leadership, and Midway’s Institute for Teachers. This creative and strategic thinker will build the department’s short and long-term goals and objectives and lead a team of professional staff for the department’s programs. In addition to requirements listed below, the best-fit candidates will have a minimum of five years of leadership experience in museums and/or other informal education settings and have a passion or interest in education technology and the impact it can have on instruction and student learning. Candidates should also be motivated by working for a nonprofit organization that preserves and showcases the legacy of service in uniform.
