FLSA Status: Part-time (20 hrs.), Non-Exempt

Position Description: The Collections and Exhibitions Assistant reports to the Manager of Collections and Exhibitions and will support the department in a variety of activities including collection and exhibition research and documentation, data entry, object photography, object handling, exhibit preparation, and installation. Responsibilities include assistance with the care and maintenance of the permanent collection and artworks on display, on loan and in storage, and the creation and maintenance of associated files, such as those related to artworks, loans, exhibitions and artists, checklists, display labels, images, and lenders. S/he will on occasion be called upon to work with the Departments of Education, External Relations, and other staff across the organization, including volunteers and docents, with research and information requests
