Compensation: The salary range for this position is $140,000-180,000

Located in the heart of San Francisco, the Asian Art Museum is home to one of the world’s finest collections of Asian art, boasting more than 18,000 inspiring artworks ranging from ancient jades and ceramics to contemporary video installations. Dynamic special exhibitions, cultural celebrations, and public programs for all ages provide rich art experiences that unlock the past and spark questions about the future. Currently, we are seeking a Director of Development to join our team. The Director of Development (DOD) is responsible for the oversight and planning of all the Museum’s Development and development event efforts. This position leads the day-to-day operations of the Development team and oversees all aspects of fundraising for the museum. In addition, through an active portfolio, the DOD will manage the stewardship of current leadership donors and the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of prospective leadership donors to support annual unrestricted and restricted goals.

The DOD regularly engages with staff, commissioners, trustees, vendors, visitors, volunteers, members, and colleagues in a personable and respectful manner.
