The Associate Registrar position assists in a variety of specialized technical and administrative functions related to the Registration department and management of the Museums’ permanent collections and loans, with special emphasis on permanent collections.

Following established procedures and practices, the Associate Registrar performs assigned routine collections management functions in coordination with other registrars and colleagues throughout the Museums. The work requires manual dexterity and specialized care in the handling of valuable artworks.

Assists in the accession of objects into the permanent collection, exhibition and loan programs; inspects, documents, labels and catalogs artworks acquired for collections, loans and/or exhibitions. Measures and marks objects; uses software applications to generate and process a wide variety of documents, including receipts, releases, loan agreement forms, Certificates of Insurance.

Union position with benefits, starting at $31.38/ hour.
