Assistant Manager of Visitor Experience plays a critical leadership role in the day to day overall visitor experience operation, including volunteer programs. This position focuses frontline teams on the importance and value of the visitor experience; assesses and revises current practices and policies to achieve an exemplary experience for visitors and staff alike; supports daily visitor experience operations as needed, responds to visitor needs; and fosters an environment of respect, inclusion, teamwork, and professionalism to ensure maximum results.

Manages daily frontline operations within the visitor experience department. Supports opening and closing procedures and proper allocation and deployment of staff and volunteers through the museum. Adjusts daily floor coverage to ensure all floor positions are filled. Assists with daily reporting as needed. Trains staff on visitor experience standards and materials.
