SFO Museum, the only AAM-accredited museum at an airport, is hiring an 0923 Manager II, Assistant Director, Exhibitions. Working under general administrative direction from the Director and Chief Curator, the Assistant Director, Exhibitions, is responsible for directing, decision-making, and daily oversight of the activities and functions of the Exhibitions section of SFO Museum, which encompasses the curatorial, design, and preparation teams. Primary responsibilities include developing, establishing, implementing, and enforcing exhibition policies, procedures, methods, and objectives to ensure consistent aesthetic and design quality, equitable subject matter representation, and appropriateness for San Francisco International Airport’s general audience. Additional responsibilities include: directing the development, design, organization, curation, and implementation of more than forty exhibitions annually; assisting the Director and Chief Curator in determining gallery design and placement within Airport terminals as construction or renovation occurs; and curating and/or supervising special projects, as directed.

Salary range: $131,248 - $167,492 annually
