The Access Project Coordinator will manage the activities, budget and schedule for the Access from the Ground Up project. The Coordinator will provide guidance and counsel on ADA and best practices for accessibility. This grant-funded temporary position will be hired as an hourly employee by the City of Palo Alto working 18 hours per week. The duration of the position will be from December 2017 to May 2020.
Funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, this exciting project will make the new Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo and exhibits accessible to everyone. It will provide science learning opportunities to children with physical and developmental disabilities. The Museum and Zoo will build relationships with partner organizations that serve visitors with disabilities, provide professional development, and engage experts and families who have children with disabilities in the development of exhibits and Access Resources.
