CAM 2017: Influence & Action
The 2017 CAM conference will be held in Sacramento March 29-31, 2017, a city rich in California history, culture, and controversy.
Sacramento sits at the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers, providing a scenic backdrop to experience our State's capitol. We will convene at the Embassy Suites Sacramento Riverfront Promenade, adjacent to the iconic Tower Bridge and only steps to Old Town Sacramento and the Crocker Art Museum.
The 2017 CAM Conference will explore the responsibility individuals and museums take as leaders within their shared communities. Museums have a positive influence by taking actions that make a difference today and for the future. Communities look to museums to help set agendas that support their needs. Together we all serve as leaders to create stronger museums for a stronger California. Join us as we explore Influence & Action in Sacramento March 29-31, 2017.
There are many attractions to experience in Sacramento for museum professionals, including 28 museums and historic buildings that have been beautifully restored. Sacramento will be sure to impress - from the California State Railroad Museum, the California Automobile Museum, and The California Museum, to the living museum where history is made daily, our California State Capitol. In addition, the downtown area is a hive of shops, eateries, comedy clubs, and nightlife.
