John F. Kennedy University Museum Studies Fundamentals Program
CAM and the John F. Kennedy University Museum Studies are pleased to announce a formal partnership to support a Museum Studies Fundamentals Program. This new Continuing Education Series is online and features introductory-level courses to museum studies. These courses are perfect for individuals new or transitioning to working in the museum field. The completion of each course will culminate in a certificate of completion.
Each course includes 12 hours of content with online learning modules to be done at your own pace, and completed in the comfort of your own home. Courses will provide online learning modules with lectures, student-instructor discussion boards, readings, reflection and written assignments with instructor and peer-to-peer feedback.
The Continuing Education Series includes the following courses:
Strategic Thinking & Planning
Collections Management Basics
The Visitor Experience
Fundraising & Marketing
The first cohort will begin classes with Museums 101 this April 2018.
CAM members receive a 15% discount on registration - a savings of $262 for the entire series! Each course costs $297.50 for CAM members or $350 for nonmembers. That's less than the cost of a conference registration. To receive your discount, contact Emily Todd at firstname.lastname@example.org or 831-471-9970 x101.
