Under the direction of the Curator of Education, the Assistant, Education is an integral member of the Education and Programs Department, serving as the first point of contact for teachers, school groups, and guided tour inquiries. The Education Assistant is responsible for, but not limited to, scheduling student groups to participate in LA Plaza’s education programs; developing relationships with educators and school sites throughout Los Angeles in order to engage students in LA Plaza’s mission; and assisting with the development of educational materials and art-based lessons while maintaining art workshop classrooms.
