Under the Direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Advancement is responsible for the fundraising, financial development, communications, public affairs, marketing, publicity and social media activities of the organization. Duties include developing and executing an annual fundraising plan, serving as executive editor for the organization’s website and social media, and creating and executing strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors. Candidates should have a minimum of a BA, ideally with an advanced degree. At least five years of professional experience, ideally six-plus years of external affairs experience. Other desired qualities include the ability to multitask and wear multiple hats in a small staff environment, significant communications experience, and an understanding/passion for Asian American culture/history/art.
