Museum Audiences and Diversity Survey

NEW Extended Deadline: Friday, July 28, 2017

Thank you for your interest in participating in the California Association of Museums' (CAM) Museum Audiences and Diversity Survey.

The purpose of this survey is to help benchmark California museums’ practices against similar organizations, particularly in areas related to the diversity of our personnel (including volunteers) and the audiences we serve.

The survey should be completed by your museum’s director, his/her designee, or the person responsible for human resources or administrative matters.

The range of questions is broad and may require input from multiple staff members in your museum. We recommend reviewing the questions before starting the survey so that you can gather the requested information (see SURVEY QUESTIONS below). Once you have all the relevant material available, we estimate it will take 20-30 minutes to complete the form.

Your responses will be kept confidential and will not be shared with any third parties. The resulting report will only include aggregated data and all the information your museum provides will remain anonymous.

Thank you for your time. Your institution’s response will help the museum field better understand the diversity of our workforce and our visitors.

If you have questions or would like a hardcopy of the survey mailed to you, please contact Emily Todd at 831-471-9970 x101 or .
