Since 2012, the Superintendent’s Award for Excellence in Museum Education Competition has recognized the outstanding achievements of California museums in serving K-12 students and/or educators. The competition is co-sponsored by the California Department of Education.
The Secretary’s Award for Excellence in Sustainability award program recognizes outstanding achievements in sustainability by California museums in the areas of public education and internal operations. The competition is co-sponsored by the California Natural Resources Agency.
The annual CAMMY Award recognizes extraordinary museum supporters, professionals, and institutions that have made outstanding contributions to California museums. The award is presented at the annual CAM conference.
The President’s Award is presented to elected officials in California state government who have shown significant support for California museums and demonstrated a continuing commitment to their interests.
