California Cultural and Historical Endowment Update--October 2004

Created at the California State Library with funds from Proposition 40, the newly formed California Cultural and Historical Endowment (CCHE) will distribute $122 million to reveal and preserve the history and culture of California over the next three years. Additional information about CCHE is available at www.library.ca.gov/CCHE/index.cfm. CAM has actively advocated for and supported the development of this new agency and we encourage all museums and cultural institutions to participate in its activities. CAM will continue to represent the interests of California museums at CCHE board meetings.
