2012 WMA DISCOUNTED REGISTRATIONS 

 

 
The Western Museums Association (WMA) and CAM are pleased to offer 20 discounted registrations to California museum professionals for the 2012 WMA conference, Restore and Rejuvenate: Our Cultural & Natural Resources, to be held October 21-24 in Palm Springs, CA. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 22, 2012.
 
 
CRITERIA
Discounted Registration recipients must meet at least one eligibility criterion and be residents of California, be working in a museum, and successfully articulate the benefit of attending the conference in the application. The following are the eligibility criteria:
  • staff or volunteers from small museums (with budgets of $250,000 or less);
  • staff or volunteers from small museums (with budgets of $250,000 or more);
  • emerging museum professionals with less than five years experience;
  • graduate students who have demonstrated a commitment to the museum field;
  • I am an Individual or Institutional member of CAM, and/or
  • individuals of Latino/Hispanic, African, Asian, Native American, and Pacific Islander descent.
Due to the expected high response rate, discounted registrations may be granted to those applicants who meet multiple criteria. All past CAM Scholars, Getty Scholars, and CAM fellows are eligible for an award.
 
Each award will grant the recipient a $200 discounted full conference registration. The discount is not valid for lodging, travel expenses, workshops, meals, or evening events.
 
Double your odds--also apply for a WMA Conference Scholarship. 
 
All applications should be submitted online by 11:59 PM on Friday, June 22, 2012.

Discounted registration applicants will be notified via email before July 31, 2012.
