Located in the verdant surroundings of a Southern California valley and right on the Santa Barbara esplanade just steps from the beach, Fess Parker’s DoubleTree by Hilton Resort is the ideal site for the CAM conference. 
 
CAM reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate of $138 a night plus sales and occupancy tax. Note: Wednesday, February 20, 2013 and Thursday, February 21, 2013 are currently sold out and our discounted rate is unavailable. To make your room reservation, call 800/879-2929 and reference the California Association of Museums to apply the discounted room rate. The deadline to make your reservations is February 1, 2013. Attendees staying at the conference hotel on Wednesday or Thursday night will receive a continental breakfast voucher upon check-in.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Directions from North
From the North: Take 101 southbound to Santa Barbara. Take the Garden Street exit and make a right onto Garden Street, which will end at the waterfront (approximately 3 blocks). At the waterfront, turn left onto Cabrillo Blvd. Follow Cabrillo approx. ¼ mile. At Calle Puerto Vallarta, turn left at the light and then again left into the Doubletree parking lot. Come in the driveway, and head left, following the signs to the hotel lobby.
 
Directions from the South
Take 101 North to Santa Barbara. Exit the freeway at exit 94C Cabrillo exit (this is a left side exit ramp). At the bottom of the off- ramp, turn left onto Cabrillo Boulevard. Follow Cabrillo about 1 ¾ miles. Turn right onto Calle Puerto Vallarta. The hotel entrance is the first driveway on the left. Come in the driveway, and head left, following the signs to the hotel lobby. Once you register, you can park closely to where your room is located.
 
 
AIR TRAVEL
The closest airport is the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA) located in Goleta, CA, 11 miles from the hotel.

TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM SBA
A complimentary shuttle from the SBA airport to the hotel is available by calling the hotel directly upon arrival at 805/564-4333.
 
Driving directions from the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (11 miles): Turn right out of the airport onto William L. Moffet PL / Sandspit Road. Follow this road appx. 1/4 mile, which will curve towards the beach and under a bridge. Merge onto Ward Memorial Blvd/CA 217 North for appx. 1/2 mile. Merge onto US-101 South via the exit on the left toward Santa Barbara for appx. 10 miles. Take the Garden Street exit and make a right onto Garden Street, which will end at the beach. Turn left onto Cabrillo Blvd. Turn left onto Calle Puerto Vallarta and left into the Doubletree parking lot.

AMTRAK
Santa Barbara’s Amtrak Station (SBA) is located at 209 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. The station is 1 mile from the Fess Parker’s Doubletree Resort but walking is not recommended.  Plan your Amtrak trip at http://www.amtrak.com.
 
 
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The local public transit is Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District Public Buses.  There is a Public Bus Stop on Moffett Road across from the Airline Terminal at the airport.  Bus Schedules are available in the Terminal south lobby and online at http://www.sbmtd.gov/

PARKING
Self-parking is complimentary for guests of the California Association of Museums and parking lots surround the resort.
