COLLABORATIVE LEARNING CONVERSATIONS

The way people learn is changing.  Is the California museum field ready to embrace and model this transformation?  How can museum workers expand their networks to enhance learning about best practices and innovation?

Twelve partnering organizations* are examining how museum associations and other service providers can adopt collaborative learning strategies for the benefit of the California museum field. The vision of the California Networks for Collaboration project is a more cohesive and networked professional community, which will lead to a more relevant future for museums in a changing California.

Over the summer, the partners hosted 12 conversations to introduce the concept of collaborative learning and engage participants in dialogue about how the museum field could adopt these new strategies in the future. If you were unable to participate in one of these dialogues, we invite you to download and review the slide presentation below. The Steering Committee is meeting in October and we look forward to sharing our plans for the future with you.
