Audience Development & Museums
Developing and sustaining audiences brings many rewards to your museum and your community. But how can you do this most effectively? How do you learn about and understand your current and potential audiences, and what might motivate them to become more engaged with your museum? These one-day workshops will give you the tools to approach this strategically. We will focus on how to create a work-plan for audience development, including setting goals, developing strategies to attain goals, and measuring the results.
PRESENTER:
The workshops will be led by Margaret Kadoyama, Community Involvement Specialist and Adjunct Professor with the Department of Museum Studies at John F. Kennedy University. She has 25 years of experience in the museum profession with specialization in implementing community involvement strategies, developing and assessing public programs, and creating education and audience development strategic plans.
