Abstract: Web 2.0 technologies offer new avenues, opportunities and challenges for museums wishing to invite visitors into the interpretive fabric. In this presentation, I outline some of the ways in which SFMOMA’s education department has experimented with, or plans to explore, the potential of blogs, podcasts, social tagging, and other Web 2.0 tools as a way to enter into a dialogue with visitors, opening new options for co-producing interpretive materials.

Abstract: My CAM presentation focused on my master's thesis which was titled, "New Media Art Matters: Artist's Perspectives on Preservation in Museums." First, I give examples of new media art which includes internet art, sound art, installations and cell phone art. Then I explain the problems with new media art preservation and what is being done now. Finally, I give recommendations for museums who want to have this type of art in their collections.

Abstract: The form 990 is a document that is available to the public via the web. It may be more widely distributed than an organization's annual report. A Museum therefore, should spend time making sure that the 990 accurately represents the activities of the Museum. Being too careless with allocating expenses on the 990 can lead to the Museum not portraying itself properly. The last page of the ppt has contact information for the panel.
