Staff




CAM staff consists of full- and part-time employees who implement the association's programs and services, as well as oversee the day-to-day operations. CAM is also supported by key contractors for specific services.

Jennifer Caballero

Executive Director

Jennifer Caballero joined the CAM staff as Interim Executive Director in March 2022, following three consecutive two-year terms as a member of the CAM Board, with the final two years in the role of Board President. Prior to joining the CAM staff, she was the Marketing Director for the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, creating general and targeted marketing initiatives using multimedia promotion, in-kind and paid sponsorships, community-based marketing, branding, and market research. Jennifer has particularly deep experience in promoting a culturally-specific institution to a broad audience; before the Skirball, she was Manager of Marketing, PR, and Audience Development at the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena. She holds a BA in American Studies from Scripps College.

 

Rochelle Kuan Hoffman

Rochelle joined the CAM staff in February of 2022. She previously spent eight years with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, where she developed and led a variety of K-12 curriculum and programs for the Education Department and Public Programs Department, including launching a virtual teen internship program  which became a recipient of the 2022 Superintendent's Award for Excellence in Museum Education. She brings experience in coordinating and facilitating virtual and in-person programs, events support and logistics, and community outreach. Rochelle currently serves as a member of the Program Committee for COSMA (Coalition of State Museum Associations), helping to develop programming that supports State Museum Associations nationwide.

 

Carey Lin

Communications Manager

Carey joined the CAM team in June 2017 with a wide range of experience in community engagement for nonprofit cultural organizations. Carey developed her strong skills in education, fundraising, marketing and communications through former positions at the Exploratorium, SFMOMA, California College of the Arts, Southern Exposure, and the Royal NoneSuch Gallery. She moved to San Francisco in 2008 after earning her M.F.A. at the University of Chicago and her B.A. at New College of Florida. Aside from her role with CAM, Carey directs Stairwell’s, an itinerant collaborative social practice project with dynamic programs throughout the Bay Area. Her visual art practice spans work in painting, drawing, ceramics, video and installation.

 

Tiona Lyons-King

Community Engagement Manager

Tiona joined the CAM staff in January of 2023 and has 7 years’ experience working in museums and cultivating community for museum audiences. She earned her B.A. in Anthropology from Sacramento State University and holds a Museum Studies Certification from Northwestern University. She has worked throughout the state of California and is passionate about implementing DEAI best practices in every aspect she can. Tiona previously held roles at Mingei International Museum, the San Diego Botanic Garden and the Wells Fargo Museum and is currently serving as a board member for San Diego Emerging Museum Professionals (SDEMP) as part of the Outreach and Advocacy Committee.

  

Michelle Rader

Administrative Manager

Michelle joined the CAM staff in February of 2022. She is a Museum Studies graduate of the Chico State Department of Anthropology and served numerous roles at the Chico History Museum and the Gold Nugget and Paradise Depot Museums since 2014 –including a pivotal role in the museum’s rebirth after the Camp Fire of 2018. She has served on the Board of Preserve Alpine’s Heritage, and the steering committees for Respect the Walls and the Association for Northern California Historical Research. She will bring her unique range of experiences and strong passion for small museums to CAM and the museum community. Michelle is currently working from the San Diego area.
