The Development Assistant provides administrative support and is responsible for the effective functioning of the development office, including support for stewardship of individual members and donors, annual business fund participants, and institutional funders. Provides support and participates in planning, coordination and implementation of fundraising, cultivation and other special events. Position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to be tactful, astute and diplomatic to build personal rapport and effective working relationships with Board Members, donors, organizational partners, artists and other stakeholders.
Previous work experience in an arts organization and/or development office preferred. Interest in contemporary art important. Strong computer skills and proficiency and experience with database management software systems (preferably Patron Manager). BA required. FT, hourly, non-exempt, compensation and benefits DOE.
